this is an interactive map of the hoenn region (rse / oras).
pan around the map and click on locations to view game data from pokemon emerald, including the pokemon you can catch.
certain pokemon have a chance to appear on the map - some pokemon are rarer than others!
there is also a small chance for some pokemon to have their shiny forms.

this is my first javascript project and was a way for me to combine my professional interests (mapping and spatial visualization) with my personal interests.
while usable on mobile, this page is optimized for desktops (width > 1000px).
not all in-game locations are mapped - i took creative liberties with what i excluded.
